I wonder why there is no documentation on something as simple as setting the value of a dde item. I also wonder why the messages in the Discussions section have no replies. Plenty of people ask questions, but nobody answers.

I can't even download it to rate it.....the link does not work. All it does is open a binary file in my browser!!!

The compiled binary DDL works like a charm! I'm converting a VB6 app that has a DDE client to C# 3.5 and NDde saved me many days of coding something that Microsoft should've done in the first place.

The Dde "server" is built upon a Windows Form, which I find quite hackish. Furthermore, in the default build, the DdeServer Windows Form will "steal" the focus from your main window when instantiating. The solution is to custom build the NDde.dll library, and modify line 790 of DdeContext.cs to include the WS_EX_NOACTIVATE Extended Style (defined as 0x08000000).
